Just need to vent a little!

So this winter I found out that my then wife of 5 years was cheatin on me with a 45 year old guy from work, shes 24. So I moved out and did the hole divorce crap. We lived in a small town that loved gossip so I decided to get the hell out and try to start over. I found a good job in boise and moved. So she moved in with her new man and decided to quit paying on are house and now its in forclosure. Gotta love lifes little curve balls. Sorry to spill out this soap story but Im sitting in my office today with not much to do and I have a little frustraition that I needed to get out, and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do with a house in forclosurer.

Dude that blows what a cold hearted *****. Spray paint "(her name) is a whore" all over the hose and let them repossess it. That might get back at her for being a low life cheat! Won't help your credit if you're still tied in any some way.

burn it down
LOL. West - I would be careful about taking advice from the pizza delivery boy. What were the terms of the divorce regarding the house? Contract law supersedes divorce law so even if the Judge ordered her to pay for it you are still on the hook, but sometimes a sale is ordered in a divorce decree to alleviate this very problem. Can you sell it and get out from under your mortgage or are you buried in it? Sorry about your troubles.

Come on give the guy alittle credit. He's the assistant manager I thought. And he seems to be getting a little quieter which is always good when a lib jams up!

Im trying to work out a short sale with the loan company but dealing with them is such a pain.I have to talk to twelve different people everytime I call before I get one that migth know something. We have it for sale right now but theres not really a market in burley, Idaho right now. Oh well atleast I got my sled if winter would just get here.
If anyone wants to burn it down for me I will gladly give you the address.

sorry about your bad luck and i dont want to pour salt on your wound but shouldnt you have been following up to verify the mortgage was being paid? i know that anything my name is tied to financially is my responsibility.

Westsummitx hey thats awesome you still have your sense of humour "You still have your Sled". The same thing happned to me about 7 years ago she was still living in the house for 2 years after and refused to sell and I got a call one day "Ya I moved out so your gonna have to pay that mortgage too. B @%$H. It really blows. Good luck man I hope things work out for you.

Cheers

I feel your pain I am going through a divorce myself. Kinda the same stupid beotch story. I am in kinda the same place there was lots of equity in the house before the housing crash but that dumb arse still thinks I am going to pay her going off a 3 year old apraisal ! Pretty soon I am going to move out and force her to pay her half if she wants to keep here equity. I may end up filing bakruptcy anyway and if she does'nt come to her senses soon shes is going with me !

I sure hope it doesn't burn down now........... ;)

Sucks!!! Women always come out smelling like a rose, even when they are the ones who went out.

Thats probably what I will end up doing polzihunter sincemy credit is aready shot in the butt.
Your probably right jsledder if it burned down now I might look a little guilty

I don't know if this will work but call the mortage company (if the loan hasn't already been sent off to a attorney's office) and tell them your situation and see if there is any way they can defer the past due payments. With the economy the way it is lenders have more houses on there hands than they know what to do with so they may be willing to help.

Sorry hear, I have a friend going through the same thing. Not paying the mortgage. I have been through a divorce as I assume many of us have. Plan on starting over and a rough ride. Cooler temps today in Colorado, small dustings of snow on the peaks. Take care.
