Hey guys- Ive heard a lot of great stuff recently in regards to the reliability factor of the 1998-2001 summit 670's. Only downside is that ive been told they like to drink the fuel-
Also looking at a couple of 700 summits of the same vintage.........Wondering what anyone's thoughts or opinions are in regards to both the fuel consumption of the 670s and the 700s as well as the reliability of the 700s.

Also if anyone can tell me what makes a 700 summit a "Highmark" edition, that would be apreciated too-

sincerely yours,

ignorant rookie

I just sold my 99 670X, great little sled. I thought it was great on fuel, go all day long on a tank. As far as reliability....it had close to 5000 km and finally blew the engine. Put a new top end in it, runs perfectly. Let them warm up good and run 91 octane in it and you should have no issues.

The 670s were from 95-99, 98-99 were the X model, and had about 10-13 more HP. stopped making them for 2000 when the zx chassis came out.

I had a 98 with 5500 miles on it and never had to touch anything. BEST fuel mileage ever, I would consistently get 10 mpg, no matter the conditions, full throttle, 2'+ of new snow, it was always 10.

AWESOME SLED. Still one of my favorites to date.
