Just have to vent about the weather!!!

Last year did not hit till late December.
Try waiting to working at a ski hill with no snow and none in sight.

I'm going to keep wearing my winter boots and pray for earlier snow. I don't want to wait til December. Sorry SH, I know you'll be miserable if it does start dumping while your laid up on the couch.:( It's base we need!!! Bring on the storms!!!!!!

Just a little FYI. I took some data from alta's website and found out some interesting facts. Over the last 4 years Alta has ony recorded 4.5 inches of snow for the days of the 15th through the 24th of November. Thats all 4 years combined. But then it has snowed on the 27th every year, and 2 years it snowed 19.5 inches and 25.5 inches on that day. the other days it snowed 5 inches and 7 inches, but the year it snowed 5 inches it also snowed on the 26th 22 inches. So get ready for a thanksgiving weekend ride if this year is anything like the previous years. Bad news is last year it never snowed over 8 inches until the 7th of december. So we should be thankful for what we have had so far.

this year was supposed to be different. i thought obama would have had that global warming fixed. what about his promises!:rolleyes:

im not complaining. iv put 100 miles on my new sled the last two weekends but after being up over 10000 feet and in the mid 40s sun. i dont think i will be riding again untill we see more snow.:( but we are much better off now then this time last year.:beer;:beer;

Its been my experience that early valley snow bring in a hard inversion through december so just be patient. Best years come from later snow sometimes.

I would mostly agree with that except for the year of 04-05. In october Alta had 122" that month and it turned out to be one of the biggest years in history. 700 + inches up there that year if you take into account may snow. Alta always closes in April but it snowed alot in may as well.

That year ruined any patience I once had. Oh was that an epic year.

Rode every week from Oct. 15th to June 30th

Too bad we don't have a year like that one every year huh. Oh yeah that was a great year. Needs to happen again real soon.
