Just got home from riding a stock 2010 SE in Cooke

Sounds great to me, when we were up in cooke last weekend they had a big snowhawk festival. Im suprised other brands of sleds havent had deals like that setup. Sure would be fun to see groups like that get together, That was definetly the most Snowhawks ive ever seen in one place. I know they had a group ride one day and a drag race the other day with a cookout on the trail. Looked like a good time, maybe need to get something like that setup for the Yamaha guys

i realize this is probably a stupid question but im out to learn all i can and read all the threads i can on every sled. so out of curiosity when a sled is boosted does it start out and then just hit a large amount of power and take off or have smooth acceleration all the way through for example lets say im on a side hill and the turbo kicks is the sled going to take off at a high speed or go consistent were its at? thanx in advance

Are you happy with the MCX 180 hp or do you find yourself wanting more power. Have you had any problems with the mcx kit?

Not one problem in 600mi. The 180 has plenty of power for me, easy to handle for a first time 4stroke turbo owner. If I had more than one sled I could see myself owning a big boost hotrod.

Do you just add weight to the clutch? Why did you go with turbo over supercharger? I need some POWER........

I wanted any extra weight behind me. MCX dealers will set you up with proper clutch weights, they did for me. It's not an experiment,it works very well.

Christopher, what was the weight difference with the Skinz seat and under tunnel exhaust system?

You would have to go back and see if I posted that in my thread.

The under tunnel exhaust was lighter, the two mufflers are wildly different in weight.

Don't recall the numbers on the seat.

Skinz lists the weight loss for the under tunnel exhaust kit at 5 pounds and another 3 - 5 pounds for the seat. There is quite a bit of hardware that is removed with the seat kit

I am not aware of any under the tunnel turbo kits for the nytro.
They all come up under the seat and exhaust behind the seat.
That is my primary reason for planning on a Super Charger rather than a Turbo.

I do like the idea of adding a little more weight to the engine and keeping the tunnel as light as possible. Decision's decision's.

Going with the impulse turbo on mine, heard lots of good things and short header equals quick spool up. Little more spendy than some kits, but rather spend a little more for quality than do it twice or be fixing it. Been there done that
