Hi guys I just bought a 2012 polaris 800 assault rmk just wondering what I need to look for its got lil over 1400 miles on it I'm new to these new models I've always have IQ sleds any help would b nice thanks

Check your piston skirts to see if there's scoring.

Send your shocks in for rebuild to your riding weight and style. Oil at 1400 miles is in need of a change.

Minimum, new pistons. Service, clean and inspect gear case & components. Motor mount inspection, inspect clutches, hifax, and steering. All your basic stuff.

As far motor r they like the IQs a tiking time bomb as far as the 800s?

You're going to get a lot of different answers to that question. I use Amsoil interceptor and have never had a problem.

That is what I use as well. I have 3500 miles on my 2011 Assault RMK without a hiccup. I haven't turned up the oil pump, but I normally add a cup of oil to the gas tank. The only thing I have done is High fax and general maintenance twice a year....

Id say run whatever oil the original owner ran unless it is junk

I would also replace the primary spring mine went at 1500 miles.
