Just Another "Where To?" Thread

A bunch of southern rednecks get together and ride at least once a year and we've never been out west. We're all decent riders considering. I've been doing some research and have narrowed our base to either Island Park, ID or West Yellowstone, MT.

Can I get your input on sled rentals and lodging? It will be 4-6 of us, me and some clients of mine. I'd rather spend a bit more to get the best experience. I don't want to rent junk and stay in shacks.

Also, dining and cocktailing is pretty important. What about nightlife?

Thanks for you help.

West Yellowstone would be a good place if you are more into the nightlife and nice places to stay. Bunch of places to rent nice mountain sleds, great riding, lots of traffic though. You can find big very nice houses to rent all over out there. try vrbo.com. There is also Big Sky which is a huge skiing area about an hour north if you are into that. The park is cool to see in the winter also, for your "clients". Never been to Island Park though so can't compare.

west is nice. lots of rentals, lodging and riding. cooke is purdy bad *** but i there arnt many places to go with inexperienced riders
