Hey guys,
A friend of mine has put together a nice jumper package for e-start bikes. It uses a slick little connector you can purchase from your dealer. Two ring terminals connect to the battery and the bullet connector on the other end you simply zip tie out of the way to your frame. The cable pkg "Matt" is making has the bullet connectors at each end. You can jump "bike-to-bike" with the bullet connectors if both bikes have the connector I mentioned above. If not, you connect the alligator clips to the end and simply jump to anyone's battery or your truck battery. He also includes a DC port connector for a cigarette lighter connection or DC port on a sled. This covers about every scenario. Very slick package. It coils up small. I put mine in a zip-lock bag and carry in my tunnel bag.
There is also the "Micro start" jumper pack about the size of a smart phone. Those are super handy but once it's dead, you're out of luck. With a cable system like this, you can crank and work on a bike problem for hours, if one arises,? without ever running out of juice.
Here are some pics. Give Matt Halseth a call if you want one. He is making up a batch of them.
