Joyner UTV Anyone have one?

I've heard they don't hold up very well ... there's quite a few people with them around here, they sell them for about %70 what a new UTV would cost you from Polaris or something .. but the couple of guys I've talked to who have owned them have said they really didn't hold up that well in their opinions ...

Thanks for the info, anyone else? They seemed pretty beefed up to me, but that might be just looks. What were they having problems with? They run from $8K to 11K. Thinking about taking one for a test ride.

Don't own one. I just drove one around my shop. We were going to make windshields for Ed but couldn't get our bender to bend that thick of material.

So I can't say anything about the machine, but dealing with Ed has always been a a pleasure. He's a great guy and will treat you right.

I am a dealer for them. "BUT".... will give the you staight dope.
Bang for the buck.... nothing even come close!
Problems... a few. But name a machine that doesn't, if it has tits or tires= trouble.
In 2 yrs. we have had "0" engine or trans failures. NO BS
They did brake a few rear drivelines.... Joyner upgraded and replace them if it was out of warranty.
Cheap tires... reccommend replacement as soon as possible.
65mph out of the box.
5spd. manual trans. elect. 4wd w/ lockers all the way around
Have replaced a few 4wd actuators.....3 out of 30 machines sold.

Some people can break an anvil w/ rubber hammer.

Thanks everyone, they look well built, not your typical china rig. I liked the suspension and drivetrain, a lot tougher looking than some. How are parts availability? Sounds like they back them well according to Ed, nice guy too, good to hear from others. How long have these been in the u.s?

These machines are probably over built as far as the frame structure goes. They are quite heavy compared to the competition. The suspension works pretty good, but I would recommend a shock upgrade. Fox and Kings are both producing shocks for Joyner machines. Parts availability has been pretty good, occasionally there is a delay, but no worse that the other manufacturers. The accessory items have been slow coming. There is little to no aftermarket products yet. The roofs, doors, racks, and other acc. come from Joyner and I think they under estimate how many to produce. These parts are somtimes hard to get. Joyner has been in the US for 5-8 yrs I believe. :face-icon-small-coo

Gainster, I think that one for sale is only 2wd I don't see any front axles on it.

Yes... thats a 2 seater 800 Sand Viper. Runs about 75 mph stock. Really likes a turbo.... much better in the dunes.
