Snow Bike Race Formats
Hello all Snowbike racers we have developed a race format for this weekends event. Basically, we are looking at 1 event this year which will be a combination of all three events from last year with a Sno-cross, Hill-cross, and Endure race all in one. The track will be a motocross style track with mostly natural terrain obstacles.
On Saturday, racers will be split into 3-4 random groups with 8-10 riders per group and will race heat/Moto #1. Then riders will be put into a 2nd set of random groups and race heat/Moto #2. The combination of both Moto’s will determine which main event you will ride on Sunday. Each racer will get (2) 3 lap heat races.
On Sunday, we are running an A, B, and C main event. Totals from Moto’s on Saturday(motocross style points) will position your for Sunday's main event. On a tie, the best finish in the 2nd Moto breaks it. Lowest overall total qualifies 1st and then on... For example, if someone (guy#1) get a 2nd and 3rd for 5 points, and another (guy#2) gets 3rd and 2nd for 5 points then guy 2 would get the tie breaker for the next qualifying position and so on.
We will take the top 8 finishers from Saturday's (2) Moto format directly into the A main event. Then approximately 8-10 of the next riders for the B main. With the remaining riders making up the C main.
The 1st and 2nd place finishers from the C main will qualify to move up to the B main, and the 1st and 2nd place finishers from the B main will qualify to ride in the A main.
Trophies for the top 3 of each A, B, and C main.
