Job within the Sledding Industry

I am seeking a summer job with a company that deals with snowmobiles and/or the parts/performance items, design, anything really. I am in my 4th year at the University of Cincinnati in OHIO majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I have worked over a year at General Motors, 6 months at a transmission plant, and 6 months at a metal casting plant. I have also done some design work at the Toyota Tech Center in Ann Arbor. Looking for a job as GM just cut all student programs as part of their restructuring. Help me out please. I have great work ethic and have a GPA of 3.746 through my 4 years so far at UC. I have been sledding since I was probably about 3 falling asleep in front of my dad on the trails and at about 5 got my very own Yamaha 250 one lunger. Sledding is a big part of my life and I want to pursue a career that has something to do with the industry. Please message me with any opportunities. Thank you.

The best thing to do is send resumes to every factory, dealership, and aftermarket place you can think of. If no one sees your name they won't come looking for you.

If you do something you love for a job usually you end up not loving it so much anymore......:(

Just a thought...

Strongly Disagree by my experience. I love working on sleds and I still love riding 'em. Send the resume out to everyone you can think of, tell everyone you meet what you told us here. A lot of peeps are scared to ask for what they want, props and green rep to you for putting it on the forums. Good Luck:)

I was of the same thought process and after 5 years in the idustrie as a service manager and technician, I still loved going to work everyday, but going home at the end of the week with no money was a different story.

BDX could sure use a better engineer!!!!! I dont know if they are looking/hiring, but they could sure use one!

I thought I saw on the Arctic Cat site not to long ago some positions for R&D, but you needed a mechanical engineering degree. Which you have! go to arcticcat.com then careers
