I have a 04 Summit x 800HO. I wanted to see what you guys would suggest on jetting for the mods I have:

I currently just have the Trail Torquer and DJ clutch kit. What I'm doing to my sled is:

Ported jugs (Russ Lemke Enterprises (RLE))
Modified head with domes for higher compression (RLE)
07 Airbox.

They suggested I bump up to a 20 pilot, .010 shim on the needle and bump 5 jet sizes from stock. So running a 450 main jet. Does that seem a bit big?

Just trying to get a few ideas, don't want to burn it up but dont want it so fat that it doesnt get out of its own way.

If your DPM is still installed .... it will only compensate and lean out the fuel mixture. It won't fatten it up. So be careful how low you go.

I have ported jugs, tight squish on an aftermarket head with mid elevation domes. 17.5 pilot, 0.10 shim on the middle clip, and 380 mains.

My buddy has a similar set up but runs an entirely different jet set-up. Can't seem to understand why .... it just does. So with that info .... I would use what your shop has reccommended and be prepared to make changes. But then again I haven't experienced using an 07 airbox. That maybe the difference.
