Great hillclimber old McGrath

Saw him climb Billings Great American hillclimb first time ever on borrowed bikes of the Peterson Race Team. Great times, the guy is the real deal, like a Malcolm Smith.

So, you never had someone you looked up to when you were a kid? Posters on the wall... wanted their autograph and such??

I don't think the reason to have Jeremy McGrath there today was for the adults....... it was for the kids and maybe kids at heart. :cool:

geeesh...... I'm detecting some sand....:eek:

He seems to be a great role model and if I had kids I would have taken the up there.

I actually think McGrath is a prick and would rather have my kids out riding their sleds or bikes than standing in line trying to get an autograph from a guy who didn't have the time of day for kids a few years ago down in washougal,but hey,to each his own.I like your try at being funny with the Hannah Montana thing,nice.You don't know me so don't try to sh$ttalk.

Your have a strange definition of "IMPORTANT"! lol

Oh, and I think part of the point was to show kids that things are attainable in life if you work hard at them.....seeing McGrath and those as just regular people....

Perhaps he didn't have time for kids because he was working/racing???? That's why they do these type of events. :rolleyes:
 
I feel bad for guys like McGrath...They are expected to be "on" 100% of the time by people like skidooklimer877 and if just one time they are not there to talk or sign something they are labeled a jerk...

I have talked to McGrath a few times and allways found him to be very cool and down to earth..

nail on the head there ruff....as for being important...I'm just as self important like all the other people stuck in traffic during rush hour...:eek:
 
I was able to make the trek to see him. What a good time. All sorts of cool displays and product. The line was out the door for most of the day!!!!!! The dyno was going and there were trials displays. That was an event that most should see. McGrath is a class act. Had time for everybody. Even had time to joke around after the autograph's doing a little "goon" riding on the lean machine. That was funny!!!!
