What is you favorite incarnation of this band?

1 - Jefferson Airplane?

2 - Jefferson Starship?

3 - Starship?

Since I prefer Mickey Thomas to Marty Balin I'll say Starship, even though most of the J S hits came with Thomas. So it could be a toss up.

There is a very valid argument that the Starship era was more pop oriented, but I'd rather say the music received more airplay because it was simply better music.

I liked the feel of the Nuclear Furniture music.
No way out = Probably my favorite J S song.

Up until all of the followers had left.

They did not depart as friends that's for sure ..... My family had a huge SF music history and I grew up right I the hub of the 60's, 70's & 80's SF music scene .... I'm very thankful to the industry which has given me a great lifestyle.

Sure anytime ...My family built and ran the Fillmore East, Fillmore West, Winterland & Shoreline Amphitheater.

Starship wrote a song "We Built This City On Rock & Roll"

"White Rabbit" is their best tune, followed by "Nothings gonna stop us now"

Interesting.
Are you descendant of Bill Graham? or Chet Helms?

You know - LOL - I like them all - at least at this stage of my life...

I don't, and have never "psychodelic'ed", but I love the music it produced. "Volunteers", "Somebody to Love", "Lather", ... and that bunny song...

But I like "Miracles" too. Prolly a bit soft for me to have listened to at 18 yrs old, but 30 some yrs later - yeah - I like it! LOL!

The later stuff - what's that? "We Built this City"?
I don't cringe when it plays on the ray dee eye oh, but maybe too bee-boppie for me to "want" to listen to. I guess I don't know any more late stuff?
