JAN 21-24 Cooke City Trip. Looking for some locals to show us around a bit.

So we had to make a last minute trip change due to the deteriorating snow conditions in Truckee and are headed to Cooke. We had some locals setup to show us around in CA and I thought I would see if I could round up some locals to show us around a bit. We have been to Cooke once before but it is always better with someone that knows the area. I am sure you would be well rewarded at the local bar for your efforts after the ride.

We will be staying at the cooke city alpine lodge and Robert has already offered to show us around one day at least so we are already making progress. The more area we can see the better.

We both have AVI gear including ABS bags and are seasoned mountain riders riding turbo sleds so we are up for just about anything from mild to wild.

I PMed you. We are headin up to Cooke tomorrow ride Thurs Fri Sat Sun. Look for us at the Soda Butte poker table. I'm usually the one (Scott) with the least chips.

Can show you the area and you will probably go from there, as its pretty easy to find your way around unless visibility goes to crap which it looks to do.

Sure like watching them turbos, but be careful, those are some pretty big hills.............

It sucks getting old.

that's funny. there was a Scott on our last trip out to cooke in december, and he was always the one with the least chips at the poker table......

Thanks again for showing us around. You guys sure are getting some awsome snow. Too bad it was mostly clear and there was another 6" of new when we left. We did see the big slide way up on the top of peak directly arcoss from you motel. Looked like a big one.

Don't worry we get that alot from the guys we ride with here in UT also.
