Jacobson roll over valve problem

My dad and I each got one of these last year and installed them on are nytros and they get to about 7800 rpm and then bog and act up. We replaced them and got new ones thinking it was just a bad product but then the new ones still do it. Any one out there have this problem and or know what might be the fix.

I just went and tried grounding it to the battery and didn't change a thing but then I tried unplugging the valve to see it it was the valve part or the tether part and with the tether still plugged in it still acted up but if you unplug the tether it stops so its gotta be something to do with the tether part of this product not the valve

I dont see how these would have any effect on the RPM of the engine. I have the older style without the new electronic control module however and have never had issues with the one I bought from OFT. It is based off the same valve. Sounds like you mave have a more serious intake problem.

You are posiive that the sleds run fine above 7800 Rpms without the valves installed? Have you checked to see if your air cleaner is clogged with oil prior to installing the roll over valve that would prevent enough air to get into the throttle bodies? Have you checked the spark plugs lately?

Are you sure the valve have power while the sled it running. if they dont have power they close obviously and there will be a increase in back pressure inside oil system inside the engine that might cause this but i would think an oil line running back to the tank would explode before it would cause the engine to bog if the egine is revving that high. Keep us posted when you find out what is going on.

That makes more sense that it is the tether. but i would think that it would cause the engine to cut in and out not bog because basicly you are cutting off the ignition with the tether switch which is cutting all power to the engine

If I can't get mine figured out I will be most Likely be buying one if yours sorry for kinda making your product sound like its got a problem but does not

OK, now you have "my" attention.
All last season I was chasing down a bizarre "bogging" issue with my Nytro. I thought it was something weird in the MPI Gems controller.
But.
I had also installed the new upgraded Four Stroke Solutions High Performance Electronic Roll-Over Valve Control Module (ROVCM)

Now I am WONDERING if I might have been looking in the wrong direction.???

The ones Yammyboy is using are not the Jacobson valves, they are the knock off's from Yamaha. Is it MPI that is making the kits for Yamaha?

Guys,

If they are my kits (Four Stroke Solutions), please feel free to contact me! I have a 2 year warranty on them and can get you taken care of.:thumb:

No, I have an original.
Just been chasing after a odd problem with "bogging" on the supercharger for months now and have not been able to nail it down, and this was something I had never considered. Really doubt this is the problem, but its one more thing I can CHECK on just to be SURE.
