There was 2 different races for the snow bikes at Jackson Hole. Friday was the main race for king of the hill where we had 8 total bikes (3 UFO’s, 5 Timbersled’s and 0 Frozen Moto’s) that raced up the hill all at the same time. It was the coolest event we have ever had with the snow bikes. Every spectator there stopped what they were doing to watch when they herd the bikes start up. 7 of the 8 bike made it over the top with the top 3 being Timbersled’s and then 2 UFO shortly behind. It was a good race.
On Saturday there was a Dash for Cash race between UFO and Timbersled. Polaris racer Keith Curtis was on the UFO and Regain Sieg was on the Timbersled. Both bike were the same year KTM 450 with Boondocker turbo running the same amount of boost.
Here is the honest truth. Keith won the shoot out fair and square on his UFO. Regain had a 100 yard and lead on Keith before crashing into a sled bomb holes high siding the bike on the hill. That’s just racing.
Congratulations to Keith Curtis on his win of the Dash for Cash. I look forward to running again next year. I hope we can get more bikes each year to race. Its been proven year after year that the snow bike are able to top Jackson Hole’s Snow King ski hill with ease. The snow bike were a crowd pleaser for the hole event and I guaranty that a lot of them wait around all day just to see them run.
Good job to all that ran the 2014 Jackson Hole Hill Climb
We will have a video out on U-Tube in a day or so.
