Jackshaft HOT!

Yesterday I went on a 60 mile trail ride and when adjusting the pilot for 50 degree weather I noticed the Shaft that drives the machine and crosses over the carbs was pretty damn hot.. Why is that?

The trails were setup up slush, when rolling on the throttle the snow hawk would dig a trench and carve the nicest feeling turn, when you get the counter steer right it is so positive and so smooth! The friends behind dont much care for the roost I give them.. They say its violent.

We Just Had A New 800 Got Down With A Bad Jackshaft Bearing, So Bad It Started On Fire. Customer Never Felt A Thing Till It Stopped. Common Bearing, Old Polaris Crankshaft Bearing. Take The Belts Off And Make Sure They Are Good.

Hey, does anyone know the exact year and model Polaris that has the same bearings for it's crankshaft as on the Hawk Jackshaft?
Either that, or does anyone know a supplier of some aftermarket bearings that are better quality and the same size?

you can go to almost any bearing house and get them , just get the # off the bearing seal its a four digit ( i cant remember 6thou something) and jus make sure you get em with rubber seals not the steel seals
