Check engine light is coming on it has two short flashes then sixteen to twenty long flashes. The engine will idle, but rev it up it bogs. But sometimes it will rev up to about 5000,after it idles for 30 sec. It will then have a lot of exhaust smoke then shut down when back at idle. Some times the cluster will completely shut down at higher revs also. Fuel pressure is 61 psi and compression is good but plugs and exhaust is soaked. Could really use a hand. New to this forum stuff. Thanks.

16-20 flashes is not possible, the computer only has 10 flash codes.....

Here's a link to the trouble code chart....

As far as the plugs being wet and the bog, it sounds like you TPS is off, it can cause those types of runn-ability issues, but I have no idea how that would translate into the guage dieing at high rpm... that sounds electrical....

Sounds to me like you have more than one problem:eek::confused:

check oil pump

check your oil pump man i have had 3 sleds do that in my shop they didnt all throw the same code put that could be one thing. They were all stuck wide open burning threw fuel back firing and running like s#^t so check that it may save you a headache and maybe a few bucks by just fixing that instead of a stator. good luck

I found the problem. It wasn't until I took all the harnesses out of the sled. That there was a broken ground wire that is spliced together with the coolant sender I found the problem only when was checking the contunity and moving the plug. The wire casing was fine but the wire was broke inside right where they zap strap it on to the TPS. And I also replaced the TPS sensor to be safe, it had a dead spot on the analog bar on my multi meter. This has solved the two to three pull issue and the dying to go in to reverse and no weird flash codes. Now I just got to get up to the mountain where 600cm of snow and 14c day awaits. Gota love island riding! Thanks to all the helpful posts.
