After 26 years of self emplyment I have my business sold to and will start my new job with my former best customer /new employer Monday AM


I just cant stand to put up with the BS any longer ! I absolutly hate business admin. I hate customers even worse! Especially those who dont seem to think that paying their bills in a timley fashion is important. I am sure there will be days when I regeret it . Im willing to bet the regular paydays paid vacations etc will not be one of those times.

Its time I made time for my family and for myself. My kids are 10 and 7 and will be gone before I know it . My dad and I started this business together and looking back on it all of my best memories with Him were before that. He passed away almost 2 years ago and it hasnt been the same since so im done.

I have negotiated the largest salary I have ever seen as well as a generous benefit packge and bonus' based on customers I bring along and new sales I generate. Should be a sweet deal! Work less and make more!

Best to you man, I know the feeling, tired of being sick and tired. I am working on changing that for life right now. I have pulled a all nighter once a week for the past 3 months except for 2 weeks in there, working long days non stop etc....
Time for a change and more money.

Just want to say, good for you!!! Let someone else deal with the headaches!! It drives me nuts to hear many of my co-workers complain about how management does this wrong and that wrong and then complains more about how much more money they make than they do. What they fail to realize is all the sacrifice they went thru in the first place to get to where they're at. There are too many people out there that think they deserve to make $50 an hour without having to go to school, borrow any money to start the business, work countless hours just to get it going, or take any chances whatsoever and then on top of that they think they should be able to sit on their a$$ doing nothing while they make that $50 every hour. Bottom line, there are too many people nowadays that don't know how to work or think they need to. Rant over.

I worked 4000+ hrs last year.My W2 says I made 120k plus but the reality is that I made 60K twice and ended up giving 40k back to keep it going because dickhead customers cant pay their bills on time and Im the azzhole for cutting them off. Fawk them! Fawk that!

YES IT DOES ! thats the good part besides the pay and bennys the sale will of the assets will put another 6500.00 a month in my pocket for the next 5 years! Next year its another turbo pro and a new trailer.

Congrats !! I'm kind of going the other way.. After 20 yrs of working for someone else, I started my own company 2.5 yrs ago... I absolutely agree the dealing with deadbeat customers is a HUGE pita...

For me the benefits of greater payback outweighs the negatives still, so I'm going to tough it out.. At some point I'm sure I will go back to a "real" job lol..

POLZIN ? REALLY No its not a common name at all maybe I related to them but thats not me. No way Id live in MN. No mountains there and lots of flatlanders my family escaped from Wisconsin when I was 6.

lol, people who think all MJ users are worthless crack me up. I know a guy whose in the premed program, has a 4.0, and has smoked a lot. He significantly cut back though once school started, but still has a couple times since. I know a lot of incredibly smart people that do it once and awhile.
