On friday me and the boys headed up skyline. well my arctic cat uses its fair share of gas so i thought i would bring my 3 gal can with me, however i only brought one bunjee strap and it almost fell off. so i dumped the can about 500 yards from the parking lot just on the side of the trail. we went and rode in el tigre and on the way back i forget my can and rode into the parking lot. there was only one other rig there and they were just about to leave. suddenly i remember my can and start back up the trail to grab it when i get there its been moved and empty. no note no money nothing. i was pretty pissed, why would you need gas 500 yards from the parking lot, i would understand if maybe you took some while sitting at the warming hut which is a good 16 miles i think from the trailhead. i guess it all comes down to the respect thing and shows some peoples true colors. i just had to vent thought i would let u guys in lol

One thing I have appreciated about snowmobilers so far is they look out for one another; it is disappointing when that trust is broken.

This would not be the kind of guy you could count on in time of trouble and snowmobilers need to be the kind of people that you can count on, because sooner or later there will be trouble.

Just be glad you are the person that had their gas stolen and not the person that stole it!!

What rig was leaving the parking lot?

i think it was a dark green dodge and i remember seen a dark blue rmk 900 and some yellow ski doo like a summit or something i wish i would've know it was empty when i rode past i would of stopped before they left and called them on it

ya that is crap! i could see someone doin it if they were way back in the boonies and had no other options and leaving a note and a $20...but 500 yards from the truck..i would have been pissed! i personally have unfortunatly lost trust in people these days so when we drop off a can i gide it good in the trees! i say if ya see them up there next time..go have a lil chat.
cheers!

we rode skyline on saturday, and coming back through the parking lot noticed an enclosed trailer front ramp door latches both undone(door still up) thought that is a trusting guy. we lock out stuff up for sure.

my company had a job in a bad part of town. all of our equipment was getting vandalized and they would do anything possible to steal fuel, if the tanks were accesable from the bottom I guarentee they would have drilled them. how do you get even..................

we left a couple 5 gal fuel cans filled with 1 gallon of fuel and 4 gallons of water. it feels like fuel.......it smells like fuel.....it looks like fuel.........it leaves a rig stuck exactly 3 blocks away too:D

problem solved

Maybe they forgot it, one time we left the pickup door wide open all day cause we were excited to get to the fun. Came back to a drivers seat full of snow but nothing missing. We laughed a$$es off.
