Just got back from west yellowstone. Rode with 2 2010 HCR's, 3 2010 Rev XP's, 1 2011 800 E-TEC, and 3 PRO's (1 assult, 1 155, and my 163). There was deep pow every day and boy do these PRO's go. I have it clutched with the black/purple sec spring and 10-60 weights. It had 13 miles on it when I brought it out there and now it has 130 miles. Every time I checked the R's they were between 8-8200 no matter what I was doing.
Now for the fun part, there were a few disappointed ski-doo guys. Here are a few comments, "Someone has got to beat that f-ing polaris". I was told I couldn't compete because I had a 163 and the ski-doos are only 154, and it didn't matter that the ski-doo's track is 16" wide. My buddy a loyal ski-doo guy was really impressed and said that they are a very good sled. I never thought I would ever hear him say something good about a polaris!
Myself and the guy with the E-TEC had ourselves a small hill climb the second day. I had the High Mark and he told me that he had stuck it about 15 ft below my mark as it was getting hard to see. The E-TEC was only 75% broke in when we arrived the previous day, so it had a day and a half of riding in before our little climb.
On another hill the REV Xp's were climbing a hill and were coming about 30' short of going over. I lined up and right over the top I went. There was the same situation on adifferent hill where I went right up and the doo guys weren't happy. The guy on the 155 PRO told me to move over 10 ft and do it again to really piss them off but I came up short on that run.
This is an AWESOME sled. The first day it took some getting used to but the second 2 days it did everything I wanted it to and then some. I have always owned polaris and its great to get out with a bunch of good guys and have a good time. All the sleds ran good and they all came back in one piece. Every brand has a good sled out there that can compete with the next. I've just gotten so much crap the past few years about all the problems polaris has had with the motor and being heavy and so on from my skidoo buddies that I had to come on here and share my past weekend experience!
GREAT JOB POLARIS!!!!
