Issues with clutch cover update

Checking to see if anyone else had issues doing the '14 clutch cover update. Sled is a '12 XF 11T. I have the front of the cover attached per instructions, and I am having to flex the wing of the gas tank 3/4" to get the rear rivet holes to line up... just doesn't sit right with me, anyone else have issues?

I have an M series...

it's jammed in up against the tank? It's in there and shouldn't rub a hole in the tank.

Installed mine last week and it is close to the tank- but not rubbing- If it does rub I would suggest small tubing slit down onw side and snake it agains the tight spot- it will hold..
The belt does come off ok even though the guard is designed to not be removed for belt installation :face-icon-small-dis

Yea... right now it has pressure on the tank, and I am 3/4" from the rivet holes lining up above the brake....

Take a good look at how the cover is fitting guys... Tried to install mine yesterday, and I have the same situation as "Butters". Although I'm am installing it on a '12 800.
I bent the edge of the shield down, about 1/4 in. and in about a 1/4 in. where it contacts the fuel tank.
It is tight against the tank, but when the secondary is installed, it will hit the cover at about half shift. (where the middle support attaches) So take a look at the back side of the secondary and see if it has been rubbing against the shield when you are riding!

Simply amazes me, that in this day and age, with all the CNC equipment that they can't make **** fit the way it is supposed to!!!!

absolutely no excuse for this crap... especially after waiting 3+ mo.
