Iso Heet?

Ok, I have read a hundred articles on this stuff, some say yes, others no.. So I will ask my most trusted source for some help. I store my sled in a heated garage all the time, so it is constantly going warm to cold to warm etc.... Should I use the Iso Heet... I bought a red bottle of it, and am just curious if others are using it also? Thanks for any help.

If you run nothing less than 91-93 octane without ethanol then you should use isopropyl alcohol in your fuel. If you run any fuel like 87-89 octane with ethanol then you should not use any. Dont run Heet in the yellow bottle. You can run Iso-Heet in the red bottle or Isopropyl alcohol in the white bottle.

I agree with chunky. It is even more important to use when going from the conditions you mention. If water forms from this, or snow ingestion, it can clog your jetting and cause a lean burndown. Also, it is best to put your sled in a warm garage when the motor is still warm, rather than to let it set out and to put it in later (cold). Just a tip, hope this helps!

thanks for the info guys... just to clerify there is only one "blend" of ISO Heet corrrect? (All Iso Heet is the same) The bottle doesnt give much information that is why I ask, I have the red bottle.

The best way to prevent any condensation in your tank is to fill it back up after riding, not waiting until the next week to do it.

I also use the red Iso when I'm in the mountains and run 87 non ethanol. That reminds me need to get a few of them before I head west next Tuesday.

Well I guess the ISO in Iso Heet, stands for Isopropyl, so as long as it is isopropyl based i guess it should be ok, lol. Thanks for all the info guys!

Run it if you feel the need to remove water from the tank it also keeps pick ups etc in tank clear of water. (Ask a cat owner).:D:D:D
