Island park

A group of us are heading to island park this weekend for a couple of days! What is the snow conditions looking like?

Just got dumped on 2 days ago. Styrofoam snow this last storm, but still good snow depth in most areas.

Spent the 13th-17th in IP. All the powder from the previous few days was rained/crusted on the 13th and highs in the upper 30's all weekend. We were still able to find some decent powder, but it was pretty wet and heavy. I was with the family, so I didn't get up into the higher elevations like Jefferson, Sawtelle and Two Top. Tried the Black Canyon loop on Friday and it had an inch of ice on top of the powder. All that being said, there were still good areas and the snow wasn't all bad, just depended on where you were at and for all I know was great on top. Base was good everywhere we went. It's supposed to snow a bit this week and cool down again. My guess would be it will be pretty good by the time you show up.

Snow is deep in spots with no base. Some spots have a crust on it flats are getting tracked up. Plenty of stucks from us flatlanders.

Was there 9th-16th, getting close to too deep or bring out the boost on Friday, up high, Sawtelle and Jefferson.
