I am looking at putting a timbersled skid and ice-age rails under my 2011 Nytro MTX and I am wondering if it is worth the money?? does it greatly improve the ride and what shocks would u guys recommend , Fox or Exit?? I am also going with a 2.5 Extreme track, the stock setup sucks bad on moguled trails , does the aftermarket setup help with that? Any input would help, Thanx!!!:face-icon-small-coo

I just bought a new timber skid. I got the zbroz shocks. I've never been a fan of floats (just personal preference). I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, but I can say that the quality of it is top notch!

It's the best bang for buck in my opinion, upgraged the rails and went to z broz on it and I llloooovvveeedd it. Would buy one again in a heart beat, makes a stock or low boost sled super fun and playful

I run the timbersled skid and ice age rails on mine and couldn't be happier. I run 10-15 lbs of boost and so far it has worked great! One thing with the floats is that they do need to be maintained once in awhile.

I run that exact setup but with 174, works great for me. was first up the 90 and gibbs gash at yamafest last year so its a totally capable skid. I have the regular fox floats and i think it would be nice to have a smoother trail ride but just bought skinz front end, so rear shocks can wait.

Timbersled works good, nice to be able to adjust on the fly. I actually never rode the stock skid but sure did like how the Timber worked. I had regular floats on it and they were ok, but wold go with something else if I had the choice.

Bought mine with a stock skid underneath, and my other nytro has the timbersled. Didn't take me long to ditch the yammie skid! I really like the timbersled, the only complaint is I would like more wheelie action and the skid keeps the front end down.

Note, stock skid to timbersled took off 35 pounds! I weighed them both off the sled.

Ordered!!

Well I decided to order the timbersled skid and iceage rails as well as a 2.5 extreme and skinz boards, gonna go with the exit shocks!! Hopefully it should be a good setup!! Thanx all for your input!! Now I guess I have a bunch of stock parts for sale, any ideas??:face-icon-small-con

just put those stock parts under the forsale thread here on snowest. some guys do like the old skid and would buy it for $200 or so if they bent theirs up.

i save all my stock parts....one of these days i will find an old classic to throw all the floating parts into,,,lol...

glad ya ordered the timbersled unit...you will be a happy camper, they are a great bunch of fella;s ....
