Police said that around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday an elderly woman came out of her house near Providence and Howard in North Spokane and started yelling at city snow plow drivers because of the ice berm that was blocking her house.

Then, police say the 53-year-old man came out of the same house and also started yelling at the plow drivers while holding a handgun pointed at the ground.

A few minutes after that confrontation, an anonymous call was made to the City Street Deptartment, saying that any plow driver that came down Providence would be shot.

Police used caller ID to trace the call to Moon's house.

Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the man for felony harassment.

On a serious note (seriously), I was banging my head against the wall last night as I watched the county use a grader, making no less than 3 passes, on the road in front of our house. And a snowplow/sander followed with two more passes..


WTF....? Talk about pissing money away. I quiet residential, FLAT, street that doesn't feed more than 30/40 houses. Now they all got berms in front of their drives. You know, in my world, if you're out of work, you go home.

Not civil service..no, they'll burn up the OT on your dime, whether it does any good or not.

Funny you say that GTG...they finally made it down our road. Plow driver ran into the ditch, 2 support trucks come to get it and then a grader comes down to pull it out, of the pass down and back by the plow and grader, the road is as slick as before, they cut it down to the ice layer and left....just enough to dig out the driveway...

13 houses, flat as a pancake and no one was going anywhere anyways...

That's the beauty of living in Kapowsin. We just fire up the old John Deere and do our own roads. If we see county equipment out here it means one of two things... 1. New county employee and he is lost. 2. It's stolen

As far as I am concerned--They should not have plowed any of the roads this whole storm!! Would have kept the idiots that should not be driving in this at home. And saved us a BUNch of monies as GTG has stated.

Plus my rims on my rigs would not be rotting as we speak from the crap that they are putting all over the roads to melt through--just for it to freeze again every night!! Yammadog--You be right--They plow right to the ice and they think they have accomplished something--all they have done is made it harder on the sled for cooling and grip
