Is this a very bad year for snow in the cascades or what? Because if this is the norm, I'm selling my sleds.

Great year what are you selling ? Normal year for PNW.
It is seriously lacking this year--not the norm----reminds me of the 05/06 season start---was lucky to get 30 miles in the snow on my new 05 sled before heading to Revy for the shoot out.
the snow will definitely come.
We have ridden 6 times this year.
Lucky enough to find good snow on three of those trips(see my Stevens 12/2 post and pictures)

Hey guys,
Ya, it seems like whenever the east coast and central U.S. gets hit with all the bad storms, we don't get anything. It's almost like the jet stream just goes right over top of us and drops into the middle of the U.S. This is a bad year for sure.

Use to live in North Bend and had a place at Lake Kachess road there alot. I know what you are going though. That is why I move to Priest Lake not that I dont like it there it's but you can count on better snow here and no click-clicks
in your snow park. I-90 is a straight shot here 1 1/2 north of Spokane. leave thursday after work ride two days home on sunday.

Tony- The photo of the snow bike says new years 2013 so was that just a day ago or was that 2012-2013 new years? If so could you post some more pics of the riding there this year? Snow blows in eastern WA so far and some of us wouldn't mind the drive for somthing decent.

This is even worse than 04-05 year. In 04-05 as of Jan 2nd the pass had 80 inches of total snowfall with only 20 current inches sticking on the ground. The 13-14 season as of Jan. 2nd has 13 inches of snow on the ground and a total of 44 inches fallen all year.
Getting ready to summerize the sleds and go get my back surgery done. Good year to sit this one out.

1) Not a bad year if you are here to enjoy it - beats the alternative!
2) The snow always comes - just a matter of timing. The last several years we had great snow in November and December - then Jan Feb sucked. This is just the opposite. Patience - This is just a break to give you time to do mods and order parts!

we have been spoiled for the last 7 seasons with huge storm cycles, generous POW days, early starts, etc. It's our turn in the bucket for chitty year. It will eventually snow, no doubt - but its not going to be a great year overall. It might end with bang though. remember, winter only started two weeks ago.
