Is there enough snow to ride from cougar mtn

There was last weekend... didn't ride there but it looked like the groomer had been out when we drove by going to McCall... have fun!

We took 10 sleds up to Packer John on Wednesday. When we unloaded, the road back across the river and over the rr tracks was covered. By the time we came out, we were on asphalt. It was pretty skinny down low, but by the time we got past the new Murry development the depths had increased and we had some good off-trail riding. In fact, there was enough snow up near the top that another group had dropped off and gotten themselves into some trouble. We stuck around and helped pull them out and had some good side-hilling and boondocking up there. It was actually pretty darn good up high!

Snow update: Made it to the ridgeline to Tripod today with a probed 5' of snow. And yes, bottomless turbo throwing dirt snow. Thanks to Cougar Mtn. Club for pulling our rig out in the crazy deep parking lot. Hey, we weren't the only ones, stop laughing.
