Is there a way to repair Klim bibs?

I am really posting this as a direct question to Klim but I am sure others have a similar issue and the info will be useful. I have a couple sets of Klim bibs and a pair of Freeride pants that are all going on their third season. The knees and shin areas have cuts in the fabric that go all the way through the Goretex membrane. Klim is not at fault, Goretex is not at fault. I believe we are at fault. These are cuts right through the fabric and I believe it's from a combo of the hard shell knee protection we all were and contact with branches, ice and mainly the Air Frame running boards. The question is can those bibs and pants be patched/repaired so they look and perform well again? If yes, by whom? I have over $1000 in these 3 pairs and I would like to stretch out their service life for another year or two.

I tore the leg open on my bibs on the corner of my trailer last season (after 6 seasons of use). I contacted Klim this summer to get a return authorization for a repair. I was contacted by Kilm after about a week saying that they would repair my bibs by replacing a panel and also said that they tested the Goretex and found that the seat/crotch area did not meet their standards and would be replaced for free under warranty. They charged me $50 for the panel repair from damage caused by me and covered the freight charges because my bibs also required a warranty repair. Awesome customer service!!!

Contact Klim for a quality repair.

This is a great thread. Last season I purchased my 1st set of KLIM gear . It performed very nicely but we had a crap snow season w/ minimal snow fall and not a drop of snow had any moisture to it. I purchased the Keweenaw jacket/ bib combo
My last set of bib/ jacket was from Cabellas and lasted almost 9 riding seasons. Ive always taken care of the products but the GORETEX started to fail and I started to get a wet *** .
Is this normal?
Thanks

I just put on my own Gortex patches all over my gear, I can iron these on the night before and be good to go. I'm still waiting on Klim to return the gloves I sent last April. Not holding my breath anymore.

I prefer snow Camo cause it makes the tears on my arse look awesome on the GoPRO. Cabellas sells these, but you can get them off Amazon pretty cheap too.

Klim Bibs

I wore a pair of Klim bibs for 8 seasons. Somehow I broke one of the zipper pulls off the leg zipper, and decided it was time for new bibs, and purchased a new pair of Kilms. I sent my old ones to Kiim to have the zipper repaired--thought I would use them for spares when I took new riders--and received new replacements in the mail!!! FANTASTIC SERVICE!!! thank you Klim

I had an older pair of Tog bibs with a hole in the knee. Sent them to Klim and they repaired for them $50. The next season I sent them back because I was getting wet in the knees. Got a new pair of new style Tog's on warranty. Rode with them last summer and my butt was getting wet. Sent them back and got another pair on warranty. I also sent in a pair of 2 year old adrenaline boots that were leaking on the top of the foot. They sent me a new pair of the new style Adrenaline boots. I only had to pay for shipping to them and the $50 to get them repaired. Easy people to talk with on the phone. A tue NO-hassle company. Highly recommend. They have some pretty elaborate testing equipment to test for waterproofness.

My advice is send them in! I had my set of togwotee bibs for a year and had a few little tears in the knee/shin area. I sent them in in August or so and they contacted my a couple weeks later and were going to charge me $100 to patch them. About a week later they called me back and said they had done some gore-tex testing on them and the membrane was ineffective. They decided to send me a brand new pair of bibs at no charge. Great people to work with and they ask before charging you anything as well. They back their product which says a lot for the company!
