Is there a difference in belts???

I have been told there are differences in the belts (orange writing to white). The belts that have the orange writing seem to look more like the Cat belts that I have come so used to ( BTW - 1 season/belt on the cats). They have that yellow tinge to them. My white belt that came with the sled looks kinda gay and week. I have been running it for over 150 miles now, and it is still running strong but, I have two orange belts and I am wondering if I should chuck the white one and run the orange belt???

Also if there are any other belts Ski-Doo has, like the racing type kevlar belts, perhaps someone can give me a part number........

Any help would be MINT!!!

BTW - I have a 08' 163" summit xp

Put the Orange lettered one on and save the white lettered one as a spare. A newer one is in the works now, not sure of the number or color of the lettering on it tho.:wine:

I was told they are the same exact belt, just different color lettering. If there was ANY difference at all DOo would have assigned a different part number.

I tried the white one on my 03 which does not eat belts, It lasted 2 rides before coming apart with my 12 year old kid riding. Back to the same belt from last season. (orange).

I hope they come out with a better belt. I was changing mine after 150 miles. cords missing and falling apart. A Yammy guy laughed at me and said his had over 800 miles on his. He then hit the trottle with some nos to spool his turbo up faster and went up a hill I would never attempt. He told me later his motor dynoed at 285hp at 6500ft. He said they got just over 100hp on the new Xp motor at the same shop. They also had a turbo 700 dragon that hauled. I still love my bike but hate the belt problem.

803

Bought an XS 803 & she's too long. Out of sec. adjustment before its as tight as I'd like. Still have alittle left w/Doo white & red. Must have gotten a bad one. Wonder of Carlisle has a replacement for the 253 or 228 Doo race belt thats wider? Dealer never heard of 253 or 228 & for sure doesn't have. Says 10 days to get & heading out for a week of pow Sat.
