Is the 36" front end worth it?

Hey I bet there are already forums about this and I have searched high and low and couldn't find anything. So I just got an axys and am putting some exit x1's on it. A guy offered me his 36" ars fx a arms. So my question is, does it make the sled too tippy cause I ride trees most of the time but also like sending it off some booters. Who is riding a 36" and their opinion compared to the 39" set up? Thanks for any input

I went to 36" front right away on my Axys last season coming off a standard width '15 Pro. I got used to it, but it's very tippy. Almost every guy that I let hop on it was laying in the snow the first time they went to make a turn.

I am going to a ZBros 39" front this year. To see how I like it.

I think the 36" is good in the trees, almost too twitchy though.

Yes very much worth it if your a back country rider. Have 2 Axys w full exit shocks and 36" front ends. Handles like a toy

I went with the KMOD 37 arms. Much stronger than stock and you don't have to change or modify your shocks. I like the way it handles compared to stock. It is quick but not too much. Very high quality build with all of the hardware installed unlike some of the 36" offerings.

We sell about 50/50 of 36 to 39. Personally I like the 36. It does take some getting used to but we have sold a ton of both and more people convert to the 36 after having the 39 than go the other way.

i dont mean to highjack the thread but i see alot of comments including the use of new high end shocks, im curious when you guys add the narrower a arms are you still using the torsion bar and when you add in the higher end shocks do you feel the need for the torsion bar is less. i have the 37 " coming from k-mod and just recieved a new set of raptors front and back and will test with and without torsion bar in. i am not a big fan of torsion bars but the stock shocks suck so much i had a hard time pin pointing if it was the bars fault or not. just curious what you guys found

I run the KMOD 37 arms with the torsion bar. I like it. Quicker response but good trail manners.

Personally I think the sweet spot on these is 37", there are a few different ways to achieve that.

One thing with the Kmod, in the past you could not use Fox shocks with his setup, I do not know if that is still the case.

+1 on kmod 37". installed at like 50 miles last year and love them with 670 miles now. Not terrible on the trail and tips with ease when riding. Came with all hardware, no binding or trimming required.
