Is the 06 600 ho motor good??

Its a good motor. It had none of the issues the 7 and 9 of 06 had. they r completely different engines.

Overall one of the best motors Polaris ever built. Bulletproof and excellent performance.

Rock solid engines

Like most have already stated the 600 engine is almost bullet proof.
I have had 5 of them from 07 , 08 and 09 in both HO carb models and CFI 4 and CFI 2 . Had onle 2 problems .
A high mile 2008 HO 600 RMK with SLP pipe combo ran hard all it life had a Connecting rod bearing failure ( big end ) after 6000 + miles . Also bought a 2007 CFI 4 with a scored piston that I traced back to a lack of oil. The oil pump cable calibration was way off so that one was not the fault of the engine. New Polaris piston and many happy miles latter engine is running strong.
