I know of a few "Stick Walkers" that LOVE us when they try to go too far into the hills and then it gets too dark and cold for them and they beg for a ride out.
I've pulled two groups out of the mountains in the past.
20 minutes later they probably hate us again though.
Wow, cool vid. I have to admit I love to watch avalanches. Too bad something so pretty to watch is so deadly.

wow, that was crazy, my knees were clickin just watching that one!
My sled is my chair lift to skiing some of the best mountains in the world! And I am 30 and it will take a lot more than two or three times down a mountain to wear these knees out!
moslty all of the 20 plus friends i know that ride either started out or still ski or snowboard before snowmobiling. a lot use there sleds to get to the skiing or build jumps.

Good vid. last scene done by specialist in Telluride--can't think of name--who spends a lot of time setting off charges and filming slide charactaristics. Been backcountry skiing for 20+ yrs sledskiing for 5+ (only way to get into the phat terrain in Montucky) Just remember to turn the sled off once you get there heh heh... my impression is boarder friends use machine for laps more than skiers. Lots of supposed "sledskiers" never unhook their boards. Lost more friends than I can count on my hands skiing haven't lost any friends sledding yet(knock on piston!)
