Most guys with that setup love it. like Whistler Cowboy said, weight saving alone are worth 2600 .plus the way they transfer. I say go for it

It is worth it. The stock susupension is so sub-par that the aftermarket is the only way to go on this sled. I have had good luck installing Arctic Cat M series rear skids as well, but I really like the mountain tamer setup.

so sounds like a good advestment and can i run my stock rails with the mountain tamer kit thanks for all the info:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-coo

Yes, with some modification. I have the Mtn Tamer on order, and all I can say so far is that Bud on the phone at Timbersled was MORE than helpful with any question I had....I look forward to their product!!

They do have rails available if you don't want to convert your stockers, by the way.

i'd run the straight rails.. (ice age)
works much better in combo w/ the skid for keeping the front end down when your spooled n pullin a hill. :)
or when your spoolin, period! ;)

has anyone tried or talked with allen and bud about using the new arctic cat or polaris rails? Ice Age is very VERY hard to get commitments and timelines from...waited 8+ weeks for my rails...and from what I hear, it is not out of the norm...

I had no problems getting in touch with Ice Age and they shipped out my rails as promised. I have no complaints with what they did for me. As for the Timbersled kits I would not describe them as "throwing away $2,600" More like "$2,600 worth of suspension upgrades". How much did you spend on the go fast? You better spend some on the suspension so you can enjoy the go fast.
