Is it safe to take my wife to baker sat?

i have never been to baker and want to play in the open spots but hear about people falling into huge holes. where is a good spot to go riding with open play areas i can take my wife without the dangers was thinking of canyon creek and going to bearpaw does anyone have any safe places to go on baker please let me know thanks

Sure its safe, just stay at Schriebers Meadow, lots of fun riding there! The holes you hear about are up higher on the glaciers

Like treemagnet said,it is fine for her.Just don't go WAY up high and you will be fine.

I have been taking my GF who is a totally new rider this year to baker alot.She says she likes it more then gold creek because it's more open for her and gives me places to have fun to at the same time.

my wife's a pretty good rider but needs to practice her hill climbs and side hilling is schiebers meadow a good place...and i want a challenge too not just a groomed trail ride... any advice is helpful thanks for the reply

Just go!

Was up there yesterday and expected it to be many feet deep, turned out to be go anywhere snow for most.

We held Hawk Fest there last year and had all types of riders incuding women and children, many who had never been there before all had a great time.

Baker will challenge anybody.From a total newbie to the all out hardcore rider.

Thats why we go there,everybody can ride something they like and not be bored.Go up past the meadow a little ways to whats called hood hill.From there you can go to the left side up a ways and down into the "horse corall",lots of fun rideing down in there.Hills,trees and everything inbetween.If you go to the right just at the top of the meadow there is a gully to ride up and then a short climb up a steep hill into some backcountry type riding.Thats where I have been taking my girlfriend,lots for her to do and stuff for me to play on too.Something for everyone all in the same area.
