Is Camso the answer

I've been holding off buying a second kit in order to watch what plays out. I have never been a Polaris fan and now that they own Timbersled that has lessened my enthusiasm for that kit due to $hitty support and price gouging. I wouldn't currently touch a Mototrax kit with somebody else's ten foot pole as it certainly seems like they have lots more work to do and they rushed their kit to market without adequate testing. The Yeti kit is super nice and well thought out but its insanely expensive. Is the Camso the best bet for the buck?

It seems to me the answer is yes... If you can tolerate a lack of suspension.... everything has its price.

Have ridden with a couple camsos and they are great in the deep powder and seem everybit as strong on the trail... cept the lack of suspension... course if you are used to riding a fixed strut bike then no worries.

Camso

Me and two other buddys have camso's. We are all super happy. The suspention isnt "that" bad. They are stong and reliable and work well in every snow condition. The ski in my opinion is second best behind the yeti ski. I would bet that camso will come out with a tss style shock on their 2018 kits or have it as an option. If you look close at their fold out flyer they gave dealers they have a shock instead of a fixed rod in the pics. ???

I forgot to mention the CMX as they really aren't all that common here in Canada and they are pretty spendy in Cdn $ almost as much as a Yeti, between the two I would pick the Yeti just for the fact that they are up the highway from me. I do like the look of their kit with the Yeti front end. I'm not too concerned about the ski on any kit. I'm not sure there is a one ski fits all conditions solution. I have a TS ski and a Yeti ski here to choose from. I hope Camso gets some real suspension and goes on a bit of a diet then I'm probably in.

Unless you're trying to get it on the snow this season, might as well see what they all come up with for next season.

Then you either get the new whatever, or buy a leftover at a discount.

Hmm?

I have a 17 T-sled and it's been absolutely problem free....

But I know for a fact that you can't beat CMX quality...

Yup, CMX is a little more than a Timbersled fixed, but you also get more up front for your money.

Belt drive,Raptor shocks and the Yeti ski and front end.

All of our CMX have been flawless and I have rode hard all season, best approach angle of any kit, Suspension is a work of art and floats, No tail kick , The belt drive flawless and no chassis twist. All one piece billet aluminum jack shaft and drive shaft. The Yeti ski works better on CMX than on the Yeti kit, These are a better stand up riding setup than any other kit but it is better suited for Mountain riding.

A 129 CMX tax in in Canada no shipping would be $10,050.00. Basically thats the same price as a Yeti which is made here so no cross border support issues so for Canadians considering a CMX the Yeti becomes a no brainer IMO. A new Camso can be had in the $4800 CDN range if you shop around. That's a huge difference. Hopefully they drop some weight for 2018.

Our dollar blows right now.
