I have spent time aboard most the common snowbikes out there (minus the WR and 500 2Stroke), and really do prefer my 2009 Suzuki 450. They work great in the steep, turn superior, and can even leave the airbox wide open! Just a prefilter over the cage with entirely open sides will have no ingestion. Kinda funny seeing bikes with Frogskinz over the side intakes and foam under the seat to "seal" things off, and then they are the ones having trouble on the super fine power days....while the Suzuki has nary a fleck of solid snow in the box.
The RMZ often gets a well deserved Pat-On-The-Bike from me after climbing out of a hole having to make only 1 U-Turn and then crest over the top, while a big bore KTM505 and KX450 are left making 3 and 4 U-turns, and a YZ even more.
I did find a vast improvement in fuel consumption/runability and keeping fuel out of the oil by subtracting upwards of 30% with a fuel controller - but other than that, hang on and enjoy.
No EStart might bother some users, but when it lights on the first kick every time after leaving the trailer - no big deal there.
