Is a fried cylinder covered under warranty?

My engine on my 2007 Rev 800r 144 Adrenaline with 300 miles locked up, got it going, bogs at 7000rpm and when I took it home and pulled the head off the right piston and head were caked white with hundreds of nicks and scored barrel walls!

Would this be covered under warranty?

And does anyone know why this happened? - I was using a mix of half half old gas and new; carb heater was turned off and it was pretty cold; I bought it in Olympia WA and was riding in in Whistler BC with no tuning.

It could be but I wouldn't admit to the bad gas part.

haha ya... well when I bring it in I would change the gas and not mention it as well as turn on the carb heater, I wouldn't even tell them I took the head off to take a look, don't want them to come up with an excuse.. I just don't know if top ends are under warranty

more than likely its covered. My friend had rings replaced on his 07 under warranty. After that the crank went. The dealer should know by checking the VIN #
