Recently bought an 84 phazer (480cc fan), the motor is stuck and the guy i bought it from already had the engine out and had all the parts he took out of the snowmobile in boxes. I had originally thought that the phazer was pre-mix but I noticed that in the tube readout gauges that there was a oil gauge and a gas gauge. He did not give me any bottle to hold the oil, a little help would be nice.
is a 84 phazer special edition oil injected??

Yes, I'm pretty sure the Phazer's had Yamaha's autolube oil injection system. All the ones I've been around have anyway.
My 76 Exciter when I was a kid was oil injected. I think they all were by the 80s.
I have a 80 Trail Cat that's oil injected too.
