Is 2013 hp different from 2011-12 hp?

I was told from an unsubstantiated source that the polaris pro hp jumped to 153 in 2013 from the 140 it had been at. Any info on this?

I can't say for sure but with revised fuel mapping and a more efficient belt drive maybe it just feels like there's more. Or maybe there really is. Beats me. I'm still waiting to pick it up....

I had an 11 SBA 144; and now have a 13 SBA144. Can't say for sure; but I could swear that the 13 has a little more snap to it. I love the sled/s cuz they seem to be much more reliable than my previous doo's' but after 2+ seasons on them. They still ain't what the Doo had for HP under the hood.

13 has different crank and mapped leaner... Good for some HP right there. Combined with lightweight driveshaft and belt drive it's more efficient HP to the track.

Looked all over poos website, nothin. So I think the answer is no. If they had they would be screamin from the rooftops. I was told that they bumped up the motor to give it 10ish more horse. What I think is accurate is that it "FEELS" like 10 more hp. That's what I was wondering.

I had an 2008 Polaris Dragon with 154 hp! Haha ;) seriously though I rode a 13 pro and it felt like it had more hp then my 12, but poo doesn't claim hp numbers anymore...

remember when the 12's came out and they felt like they had more power, now the same with the 13:) imagine how much more the 14 will feel;) all basically have the same motor. i'd agree with what was posted above, a little lighter and more efficiant drive system...

Well something is certainly different, we've got a couple of 13's in our group, and 11's and 12's. The 13's are definetly outperforming the rest, out of the box, (original box)all things equal. Comparatively to other sleds we ride all the time with, the 12 XP was usually faster than the 11-12 Pro, same XP won't beat the 13 Pro climbing or on the lake, packed or powder. No Cats with us to compare. Sunday watched a 13 XM 163 race a 13 Pro 163 on lake 8 to 12 inches of new snow, Pro by a bit every time.
So something's different.

I rode my 12 and 13 back to back last week. My 13 felt like it had more pull down low and through the mid range, but my 12 "felt" like it had more top end. My 13 has 75 miles and my 12 has about 300 miles on it. Could also be because my 13 feels like it delivers the power more smooth throughout the whole RPM range where as my 12 feels like it suddenly pulls harder once over the midrange hump.
