Is 03 MM700 Throttle Cable Long Enough for 2" Bar Riser on a 97MM 700?

I have a 97 MM700. I added a 2" bar riser but the stock throttle cable is now too short.

I see there is now one Yamaha part number for all Mountain Max throttle cables. It's 8ED-26311-00-00.

Is this a new longer cable that will be long enough on my 97 with a 2" bar riser?

If not, what do you recommend?

Yup, but you'll need the oil pump cable, brake hose and the park brake cable as well, better yet, go with the MTN viper stuff it's longer yet.

Did you try re route your cables over the airbox? my 99' Mtn Max had a 2" riser with stock cables. Not sure if the 99' cables are longer, sled was basicly the same.

It's weird. I hooked up the cable with the airbox removed and it was too short.

I then tried two longer cables I had in the shop and they were quite abit longer but, they weren't long enough either. The throttle won't close all the way to idle.

So a Mountain Viper cable huh? It will fit without issues, right?

Thanks guys
