That Polaris fuel gauge system, while a good idea; really is a POS in the way it works in actual use. I've a 07 IQ 600. I've it had come on warning with at least 1/2 tank left. When it starts to warn, the odometer starts to tell you how far you have come since warning EXCEPT the odometer rezeros every time the sled hits a bump or you stop or start quickly - so you don't really know how far you have come all while the gauge is in blink mode. Sometimes it goes back to normal reading and you can get an idea of how much fuel is left except the gauge is nowhere near accurate. I've filled with a solid 1/4 tank reading and can't get five gallons in it. Volkswagon Beatles were supplied with a wooden dip stick way back when. I do believe Polaris could do much do better than all the high teck s--t that doesn't work and just pisses off the customer. Another thing is the little "marks" that constitute the fuel gauge should be set so that the 1/4 points and 1/2 point are longer so you can see what you have left and of course they need to accurately reflect tank contents! nuff said!!
