Not sure if I put this in the right forum but here's the problem I have.
I have an 04 DT 466EGR engine that only has 8 pounds of oil pressure, but it still runs. We plugged in the manual gauge and yep, only 8psi. Tried the manual gauge on the oil filter base and had 30psi at 1100 rpm. We've tried a new oil pump, pressure regulator, and dropped the pan to inspect the rods and mains, piston coolers and the pickup tube. When the truck came to us the driver had apparently been running the truck like this for three days with no issues. Is there a weak link in the lubrication system that could cause this?
