The big thing is that there are LEDs that glow and you can see the light,They provide a bit of light that illuminates an area but are really meant to add a bit of effect more than anything.(Strip lighting) then their are LEDs that will illuminate what you are wanting to light up.. There is a HUGE difference..
The advantage of the work light LEDs is that they pull a small amount of power and provide superior lighting with no bulbs to change or worry about.
I have found that using the LEDs in my personal Toyhauler, I no longer really need a generator as the batteries last all weekend.

A step farther is LED backup lights.. Nice to have for us sledders, I mount mine on the back of my trailer, No bulbs to blow, Nothing to get smashed by a snowbank.They also work great for work lights.
