Interesting question 'bout an PCIII that I have....

:I have a PCIII off of my 2006 Suzuki King Quad 700 that I took off last year due to buying a complete replacement ECU from Velocity Devices INC. The new ECU is programable so I no longer needed the PCIII. Now... I'm going out on a limb here but can I use this on my Assault if the wire harness ends were changed and the unit be re-programmed or are they ATV specific? I know that the same PCIII can be used on the Suzuki street bikes as well... Any help??

No, the Power Commanders have settings that are specific to the unit they are designed for.

Even if you got it wired up it probaly won't work right

Sorry but do you have proof that they "are specific to the unit they were designed for"?? Or are they specific to that machine only because of the wire harness?? Looking at the software/program and they are exactly the same.

Can you explain why it "probably work right"?? Just want to more clear info than this...

I work at Dynojet Research doing product development and new application work for the snowmobile products. Every time a new snowmobile comes out I get the sled and do the work to make a product for the customer.

Your right the software is all the same for all PC III's or PC V's but internally there are some settings that change based on each vehicle.
