Interest in a memorial ride for fallen sledder?

I didn't personally know Mike but any loss in the snowmobiling community, especially on home turf hits hard. With that being said I have been pondering the idea of setting up a memorial ride and possibly placing a cross or something up on Hawkins for him. Would there be any interest from you guys in doing something like that or is it none of my business to go about setting that up?

Let me know any opinions or feedback on this idea that any of you might have, thanks! Also, feel free to text me at (253) 304-9690 if you would like to discuss this further or help plan.

LOVE this idea. Count me in and I'm sure there are some of my buddies would be in who also got the chance to ride with him.

A small plaque/sign would be nice....Not allowed on Forest Service property, but no one has bothered others like:

Bob McBride at Lion Rock
Todd Hall below Hex Mtn.
Craig ? at Triple Big on the Owl Creek Trail.....

Screw the Forest Circus. I think the plaque idea is very respectful. Did not know the man but we are all friends in the snowmobiling world.

I'm down! I think it is a nice way to honor him and also remind people to be cautious.

There is a plaque at the bottom of Tripple Big Hill up Reecer Creek. Every time I see it, I am reminded about how this generally safe riding area (Reecer/Blewitt) can be dangerous under the right circumstances.
There used to be a shovel and a couple of donated probes hanging from the plaque for future safety.

I think it is a great idea as others have said as long as his family is good with it and done with complete respect. I would really like to take part if possible. I didn't know him but we all have a love for snowmobiling there for part of a big family.
