Interactive Gauge

The black cover plate of my stock 2013 gauge has come off. I've had it wrapped in electrical tape just to keep it on the last two seasons. Looks awful.

Does anyone know if the new interactive gauge will directly retrofit into my 2013 gauge pod (I'm using a gauge lifter, btw)

I'm hearing a wire harness change is necessary.

What are your thoughts?

I pulled the black trim piece off mine from day one I think it looks better without it and snow clears off of it a little bit better.

Yes it mounts in the same size opening. The gauge it's self is bigger outside of that, which is the reason it won't directly fit older models.
But, with the gauge lift it will work no problem!

Accidentally? HEHE.

Honestly in all sincerity, you MEANT to pull it off? Things look a bit exposed with that black border trim piece removed.

Thanks.

Different wire harness or exact plug in?

Going to be a different harness. You have to add a GPS antennae also.

I have the new gauge on my Axys. I rode with a Garmin Montana in a RAM mount on my '15 Pro and also swap it over to my trail sled.

I think the Montana makes more sense. I didn't snow check this sled. I found it and it happened to have it. I will still be carrying the Montana in my pack in case I have to walk out or ride out with someone who doesn't have GPS on the sled.

I also wonder how the PIDD affects beacons.

I rode with the gauge and loved it, no more taking a GPS out of your pocket to check which direction the trail is. You can record routes, mark your favorite points, and it has some built in diagnostic tools.

In addition to the gauge you will need a harness/install kit p/n: 2880495
and defrost bag p/n: 2879090

Fairly easy install.

I don't want the defrost bag.

I have a gauge lifter. Was told it was adequate.

That's a nice display and the features are sweet but I'd rather put $900+ towards a new sled. That's just me though. Wish it was half that price....
