Intake, engine problems

Hi, i have a problem with intake!
The problem is that snow enters in airbox, then after a layup in a warm garage snow melts and the water stays in the airbox, it is not acceptable for me (as it was not a very good experience which led to the replacement of the pistons)!
Now I'm looking for solutions or advice to solve the problem of snow or spillage of water into the cylinders.

Since the problem with the engine twice very expensive cost me... buy a new short block.

The first thing that came to mind is the installation of filters on the throttle and delete airbox. I have tried 3 different types of filters, the best solution was a Timbersled air intake, but it is the cheapest solutions buy a K&N filter and wrap.
SN-2620 filter but it very length, need a SN-2590 or SN-2580(not sure about the last filter).

This tuning hood for my buddy. He, too, like friends changed pistons with old hood...

I do not know why but we have a problem with the piston we think of water or snow that falls in the left cylinder! Operating temperature from -5 to -33 degrees Celsius, ride at 0-2300 meters. Fueled by different gas stations, on cold days adds oil to gasoline. These problems not only in my region (Siberia).

i think the best way is to run a stack for the intake, block off the factory front intake piece and then place the intake air sensor into the air box. coldest, less restrictive way IMO. obviously with a stock hood you might need to get creative...

You need to take alook at the little skid plate on the front of your sled as well. See if it attaches to the front part of the hood at all. My 2012 did not have the attachment to the front of the hood. So there was a gap there that snow could get into. I ordered the one off the 13 and it bolts right on and sucked my hood ina little closer so there is no gap now
