Intake and jetting questions

Can you use the SLP cold air intake kit and the Timbersled intake dual filter setup at the same time? Im thinking it will work as the SLP kit doesn't really modify the air box or anything.

Also, for riding in mountains in BC would I have to re-jet with either or both of these kits installed?

I have 2007 Summit 800 that is basically stock except for an aftermarket can and clutching. Did Skidoo make these machines lean right form the factory?

If I would have to re-jet for running both those kits is it just a main jet and needle in each carb?

Thanks,

Wow I have not read or heard that yet about the Timbersled intake. is there a better kit out there? I was thinking of doing the Timberlsed intake mostly just so I can ditch all that heavy plastic crap used in the stock intake.

Is there other options for ditching some of the heavy intake stuff on these sleds?

I originally did my own version of the SLP cold air intake............it worked great with no issues. The SLP kit does modify the airbox and the side panel. I then later went to bored carbs and went to K&N pods leaving my cold air intake on the panel. As for jetting, changing to pods or adding the intake, In would not change jetting......But I would monitor plugs. The 07 airbox is a goo one, flow a little better than previous years.
