Co-worker of mine just took ownership of a M1100 Turbo and we got to talking about insurance. His is factory and he can insure it. Now with the Yamaha Push turbo and MPI supercharger option or any boosted sled for that matter, are these sleds insurable?

I insure my turbo nytro through progressive, clear driving record, 32 years old, insured for 16k. $900/yr. It is expensive

Allstate is really good for sleds, I have $28000 on my Nytro for $1042 a year.

I have $15,000 on my sled $500 deductible for $344 a year through American family.

I have my m8 turbo insured for all perils at 13gs, through Echelon. Our local RHC insurance deals with them. 25% surcharge for turbos

Does any one only insure for the riding season and cancel or do you leave it insured all year. I just did progressive for $13,000 at $380 a year. Probably should have gone higher but this should take some of the sting out of a total meltdown.

I cancel in the summer and hope that my home owners will cover it if the shop burns down. I am waiting on a quote from state farm for 20k on my nytro.

Anything with a reg will not be covered by your home owners...needs it's own policy...year round.

Think theft...fire...flood...mice chewing up electrical system...etc.

Just got my insurance, under $3 bills annually for 16K coverage with my turbo through State Farm. I have had great luck with all of my Property through State Farm, could just be the agent though...these guys are great!!!

That is what I was thinking in regards to insurance, for a price anything should be insurable. I don't have a boosted sled but if I have one in the future, I want to know I can insure it.

MY sled is insured for $29,000.00 at a cost of 1052.00
